ShortGo Saddlery

Roping Saddles

ShortGo Saddles are made from the highest quality USA made materials available.  We start with a AAA quality tree that is designed for comfort of the horse and rider. These trees are traditional rawhide covered wood with fiberglass reinforcement added for strength.  Wickett and Craig or Hermann Oak leather is used, as these are the finest leathers available.

By using 2-3 sides of leather per saddle, we make sure no parts are cut from the lower quality areas of leather.  The majority of hardware is stainless steel.

Each saddle is handcrafted one at a time with attention to detail and fit of every part.  Nylon lining is used in high stress areas such as riggings and billets to eliminate stretch or wear.  All edges are hand rubbed and sealed.

A special feature offered is leather faced biothane stirrup leathers.  If you want a stirrup leather that will last for years and years, has a thin profile, and the look of traditional leather, then this is the way to go.

Below are a few pictures of saddles that have been built for customers.  A brief description and price of each saddle is listed.  You are not limited by these options, only your imagination.  If you can dream it, I can build it.  Also, be sure and check out our SaddleRight pads. ShortGo saddles and this pad fit together like a hand and glove.
